A line wrap causes writer to hang.
As a workaround, enlarge the frame manually at its bottom border before you create a line break inside it. It seems, that the ojbect at the bottom blocks an automatic size correction of the frame in this case. MRU->OD: having an object at the bottom of the frame (like in the attachment), writer will be caught in a loop when this frame should adapt its autosize when e.g. creating a line break in it. I have also had OO (2.4.1, but 3.0.0 would likely do the same) hang when switching from web-layout to print-layout, or when loading the document in web-layout if it tried to redraw the screen during load. (I worked around this by covering the screen with another window when the document was loading). I have just now switched all frames from automatic sizing to fixed size (for both height and width) and it seems to change from web-layout to print-layout OK. This layout-loop already occurs in OOo 2.0. Because target OOo 3.0.1 is reserved for serious defects introduced in OOo 3.0 I decided to target this issue to OOo 3.1. Due to limited resources re-target to next major release OOo 3.2 due to limited resources I have to re-target this issue to OOo 3.x Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org". |
