Load StarWriter 3 Template (attached as bugdoc)
save file again as StarWriter 3.0 Template
load saved file generates an input-output error

some investigation reveals:

- the problem happens only on windows, not on solaris or linux
- in DEV300m58, the document is already corrupted: all frames are missing (this
is fixed in OOO320m1)

i think this issue represents an opportunity for sun marketing: backward
compatibility is simply better on solaris than on windows.

but seriously: what lunatic saves documents as StarWriter 3 template?

i'd resolve this issue by disabling storing to binfilter formats.

OK, I think, this can be closed. not fixed, but... see issue 116322 (Binfilter
export will be removed for OOo 3.4).
