My document file contain a picture. It's displayed correctly in Office 2007 but when I open it with Writer, the layout is broken with multiple picture.

getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity".
For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.

I am also able to replicate this bug on a 64-bit Windows machine using the Writer application of Open Office 3.4.1 (Build 9593, Revision 1372282). 
Steps taken and Observations:
 
1)Opening both attachments, attachment 76249 [details] (broken layout doc 1) and attachment 76250 [details] (broken layout doc 2), in Microsoft Word 2010 correctly shows the images with their proper layout. 

2)Opening the attachments in Writer (both as a Copy and Read Only) resulted in the duplication of all the images (of varying size) as well as removal of any picture effects applied on an image. 

This bug is important since being able to open a document that contains images that are formatted or created using Microsoft Word is required in order to keep Open Office compatible with Word documents. Customers need to be able to reliably open and edit Word documents without needing to do any major reformatting.

Bug replication also confirmed on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Open Office Writer 3.4.1 Build:9593
 
Steps for replication:
1) Both documents and associated images confirmed to display correctly with their respective image effects and sizing on Microsoft Word 2010.

2) Both documents and associated images are duplicated and image effects are lost when opened with Writer 3.4.1. Text and image formatting is also incorrect.


This is a significant bug because it prevents full .doc compatibility in Open Office Writer. Users of Open Office Writer should not have to worry about compatibility issues and should be able to open Word documents without losing a significant amount of data and/or formatting.

confirm on build AOO350m1(Build:9610). Win7 64bit.
