Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 124779
A document cannot be viewed correctly
Last modified: 2014-05-01 11:46:33 UTC
The document : http://www.cgedd.fr/prix-immobilier-friggit.doc This document can be opened but very slowly, and several graphics are missing. System : Linux Slackware64 version 14.1 with KDE 4.13. Using other word processors : the document cannot be viewed with Libreoffice, but calligra works well.
I can not completely confirm on Windows 7 using AOO 4.0.1 and OOo 3.0.0 the described defect: - All graphics are available, but some are cut on its right side. - Import on Windows 7 is fast - just a couple of seconds Something seems to be strange in the given document: (A) I opened it in Microsoft Word 2013 and it looked fine. Then I saved it to *.docx in order to have a closer look at the embedded graphics. Result: Some graphics (the same as in OpenOffice) are cut on its right side after the save process. Reopening the saved *.docx document in Microsoft Word 2013 showed the same cut graphics. (B) I opened it in Microsoft Word 2003 and rotated one of the graphics which are cut on import into OpenOffice. Result: it is cut as it is on the import into OpenOffice. May be the binary Microsoft Word document contains a certain graphic cache for the visualization on the screen which is ignore on the OpenOffice import and on the Microsoft Word save to *.docx file format.
