Description andreasm82 2006-05-21 18:33:59 UTC
If I move any graphic (e.g. a box) in my documents from one position to another,
the graphic is still visible on the old position.

See here:
http://img332.imageshack.us/my.php?image=neuzeichnenproblem8oi.gif

But: If I minimize openoffice and maximize it again, all is fine!

Seems to be a simple displaying problem, but it is very annoying.

At the moment I use german 2.0.3-RC1 , this problem also happens with all older
versions.
installed on Windows XP SP2 (german)

If you need further information, just say it.

Sorry, not reproducible. Which graphic card do you use? Is the driver up to
date? Thanks.
Comment 3 andreasm82 2006-05-22 13:28:27 UTC
I have a "Pixelview Geforce 2 MX400"
driver-version is 5.6.7.2
Driver is from 24 March 2004

I know, there are never drivers from nvidia, but the make my system slower,
because these never drivers are optimized for never cards.

I also don't have any trouble in other programs (e.g. winamp, firefox,
thunderbird ), so I don't think it is a problem of my graphics card.

Is it possible that this is a wirter document you are working in? Do you have
the same repaint problems in Draw/impress?

Comment 6 andreasm82 2006-05-22 13:57:07 UTC
I only worked in Writer so far.
Now I tried Draw and all is fine there! No repaint problems.
Problem seems to occur in Writer only.

For testing, I add you my actual document.
Please try to move the green arrow on page 3 to any other position and perhaps
you'll see that repaint problem.
Comment 7 wolframgarten 2006-05-22 13:59:42 UTC
Thanks for the doc, problem reproducible with the green arrow. But only in
writer. Changing component...

MRU->AndreasM: you can also workaround the problem by pressing Ctrl-Shift-R when
the scrap appears.

MRU->OD: open the latest attachment and scroll to the end of the page. there is
a drawing object containing an internet link. Move this a little bit to the
upper right (as e.g. shown on the screenshot). This will give a paint error; the
old position will remain displayed.
