Description jeffparsons 2006-06-15 12:22:29 UTC
Enabling formatting aids makes documents cluttered and consequently hard to
read/work with. Allowing the opacity of formatting aids to be set as an option
(possibly defaulting to 50%) - or alternately allowing a completely custom color
- would make the feature much more useable.

Reassigned to SBA.
Comment 2 stefan.baltzer 2006-06-15 16:20:11 UTC
SBA: Confirmed. So far, the user can only swich on and of certain formatting
aids (Tools-Options-Writer-Formatting Aids).

I regard opacity as a real improvement in this area, therefore I noted it in the
summary as an example for enhancement. Reassigned to requirements.

I registered specifically to comment on this issue and vote for it. The
transparency would be a compromise but better than what is there currently.
Ideally we would be able to pick whatever color we want for the formatting aids.
The feature is pretty much useless without this enhancement in my opinion.
