Description raindrops 2006-08-15 09:40:50 UTC
When a document is viewed in print preview, only certain zoom factors are
available. Most factors leave a large gray (unused) area around the pages.

A fit to page would be nice to have, because it provides maximum possible
magnification; which enables the user to see the details of the page before
printing.

I am new to this kind of exploring. Is there now a possibility for fitting a
print area to a single page ~ reduce to fit?

Users have been requesting a "Fit to Page" option since at least 2009! I find it hard to believe that Apache is not doing anything about this issue. I waste so much time on this, I am considering BUYING Microsoft Office or Excel. If you're trying to drive users away from OpenOffice, this is a good way to do it.

@bicyclepetal:
Have you already tried to use the "Pages per sheet" function (see menu "File - Print" tab "Page Layout")? It's not directly in the print preview but anyway.

Here I can put more than a single document page onto a single paper page.
