Description mmelchior 2002-10-06 15:08:30 UTC
Please add a feature where OOo will propose to do "update all" before printing
or saving. This will avoid working with inconsistent documents by making the
writer think about the need for this.

Reassigned to Bettina.

Please try using the latest OpenOffice 1.1 Final , you can download it
from www.openoffice.org
many bug fixes and enhancements since your version and 1.1 Final . If
the problem still happend in 1.1 please report back
Comment 3 mmelchior 2003-10-07 22:42:40 UTC
This enhancement request still stands, OOo1.1 happily saves or exports a
document with inconsistent table of contents.
Comment 4 thackert 2004-12-12 10:24:06 UTC
I have seen that this issue is related to OOo-1.1 and that the last entry was in October. Have you tried a
newer version of OOo (1.1.x or 1.9.xx), if the enhancement is implemented now? Or could this issue be
closed by the original reporter?
Comment 5 mmelchior 2004-12-12 18:06:29 UTC
OOo 1.9.62 still saves documents without offering to update the table of contents!

I found out that issue 25710 is a duplicate of this one.

Until this issue is resolved users can find a solution in the
http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=11826 topic. The idea is to
assign an update all document indexes macro to an event. In MS Word it seems
this feature is implemented as an option to the default configuration. To avoid
from patching all my documents I chose to add this macro to my text document
template.

I mark this one as duplicate of issue 25710 since the other issue already has
three votes.
